FITNESS

Based on the CrossFit prescription of “constantly varied functional movement executed at high intensity,” our Fitness program combines strength training with the “classic” CrossFit cardio workout. This class is designed to improve your general fitness level while developing fundamental skills.

Our Performance class is designed to increase strength and speed while emphasizing proper mechanics. It also includes every aspect of CrossFit training that you know and love.

This lightning-fast, 30-minute workout is a condensed CrossFit course. It puts less focus on weights, and more focus on conditioning. If you want great training in a short amount of time, this is the class for you!

Fit 4 Life Bootcamp is designed to deliver a total body workout and increase your overall fitness in a fast and fun way. This introductory class combines the basic principles of strength and CrossFit training.

Want to look good and move well? Functional bodybuilding is an approach that can be used a little or a lot to increase strength, correct imbalances, improve movement quality, and help you gain comfort and confidence in a variety of positions, without sacrificing aesthetics. “Look good and move well!”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Since then it has evolved to be an all inclusive fitness program for people of any athletic capability. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, sports, and life all reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our armed forces, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

When you first join Humboldt CrossFit, you’ll start out with a FREE intro session where you’ll meet with our coaches to discuss your goals and assess your fitness level. Once onboard, new members are directed towards one of our introductory courses such as Quick Fit, Fit4Life or Fitness. Each program is designed to prepare you for the intensity of our regular CrossFit classes.

In short, yes CrossFit can be dangerous. But not in the ways you might believe. With inexperienced coaches, shoddy equipment, and the wrong attitude, CrossFit can be very dangerous – but so can riding your bike or driving your car. The experienced and proven CrossFit coaches you’ll find at our facility will ensure that you’re training in the safest most effective and efficient way possible.

CrossFit is adaptable to meet our clients current fitness level, and help them improve it. No matter where you are starting, there is an effective way to train your body to make it stronger. At HCF you get taught how to move, and train properly to meet your current level and improve on it. The coaching goes along way to assuring that you are making productive choices in the gym that will help you improve, and not wind up getting hurt. Choosing HCF is especially important, if you have old injuries or are out of shape, let us help!

A WOD is the workout of the day. We program a different WOD every day.
